What is a sender
A sender represents your business in Truecaller Business Messaging.
Gupshup sets up the sender for youGupshup will set up and register the sender for your business. You share the details and assets Gupshup asks for (display name, brand name, logo and so on), and Gupshup takes care of the registration and approval process.
An approved sender is required to send and receive messages with Truecaller users.
Key points
- A sender has a set of assets:
- Display name
- Brand name
- Logo
- Category
- Industry
- Sender type
- Phone number or sender ID
- Gupshup adds, edits, and deletes senders on your behalf.
- A sender cannot be migrated from one account to another. To move, delete it and add a new one.
- Display name, brand name, and logo are reviewed before approval.
Phone number or sender ID
A phone number is optional. If you register a sender without one, an alphanumeric sender ID is generated. In that case, you also state a country of operation, which affects billing. See Domestic vs International
