Domestic vs International
Sender type determines which rules, routing and rates apply.
Domestic | International | |
|---|---|---|
| Meaning | The brand is domestic to the country of the recipients | The brand is registered in a different country from the recipients |
| Use when | Brand and customers are in the same country; communication is local | Messages are sent cross-border, or the business serves customers outside its home country |
| Example | An India-based brand messaging users in India | A Nigeria-based brand messaging users in India |
Country of operation and billing
For senders registered without a phone number, you specify a country of operation: the country your messages terminate in. If the sender is registered as Domestic, domestic rates apply only to messages sent to that country. Truecaller verifies that the brand is domestic to it. Messages to any other country are billed at the applicable international rates.
See Billing categories for how these map to Domestic, International and ILDO pricing.
