Connecting Facebook Ad Account
Connecting a Facebook Ad Account and adding them to Gupshup Click to Chat Ads is now much easier than ever. Just follow the steps mentioned below and you will be able to add Facebook ad accounts in just a few clicks.
Steps to connect to the Facebook ad account
- Login to Gupshup Console and select the project to which you want to connect your ad account.
- Click on “Click to Chat Ads” module and you will see a screen as shown below
- Select “Add Facebook Ad account” button, and you will be asked to provide your developer app details. Fill in the required information and proceed with clicking the Submit button.
- Once you are successfully authenticated you will see the list of ad accounts you have access to
- Select the ad account(s) you want to add and click on Connect and the ad accounts get added
Below are some of the points which may help you while connecting ad accounts:
- Only ad accounts which are in “Active” state can be added.
- Multiple ad accounts can be added to a project only if the currency and timezone of all these ad accounts are the same.
- In case you want to add multiple ad accounts whose time zones or currencies are different, then please add them in different projects.
- Ad account added once cannot be removed or deleted, but the same ad account can be added in multiple projects.
Manage a C2WA Ad
Once the ad account is added, ads that click to whatsapp created in Facebook ad manager can be managed from the ad listing page.
- Once the ad account is connected, click on “View Campaigns” button to redirect to Ad campaigns listing page where all the campaigns created in the Facebook ad manager are listed
- Go to the C2WA campaign and Click on “View Ads” button to go to ad listing page
- All the ads (even non-C2WA) are listed on this page. Go to the C2WA ad in the listing and click on the “Manage” button
- Upon clicking the “Manage” button, the system will display an option to “Confirm”, which is used to manage the C2WA ad.
- Next, you will be redirected to Ads window, click "Set Up Bot" to link this ad to a bot journey to engage with customers coming from WhatsApp on this ad.
- A Complete Setup window displays, click “Link” button to link an existing journey to your ad
Linking a Bot Journey and Defining Goals
To successfully manage to click WhatsApp ad there are three important things that need to be done as listed below
- Link a Bot journey to the Ad (so that the bot can engage the customers who come from the ad)
- Define the goals in the bot journey for tracking leads, deep conversations, and qualified leads
To complete the above-mentioned steps, consider the following points:
- The first widget is used for linking an existing journey and the second one helps in creating a new journey
- There are three goals and four attributes that are pre-set, with no option to add more.
- The system has automatically configured goals & attributes, hence no manual input is needed.
- The goals and attributes created in this system will be used while creating the bot journey and are explained in the subsequent sections
Link a Bot Journey
Perform the following steps to link a bot journey:
- Create a Bot Journey under “Journeys” tab in “Bot Studio” (if a journey does not exist)
- Define goals and attributes in the ad journey
- Link the journey from the “Complete Setup” page
- The ad can be linked to an existing journey or to a new journey
- When you click on “Create a New Journey” you will be redirected to Bot Studio where a new journey can be created. Once the new journey is created, come back to “Complete Setup” page to link the ad to the newly created journey,
- In either case, linking an existing journey or creating a new journey, it is imperative to map goals to the bot journey so that the ad insights get populated accurately
Define the Goals
- To add goals to a bot journey, click on the journey created under “ Journeys” tab
- Click on the icon “Actions and prompts” and select “Goal” node
- Select the “Goal Name” as “CTX” and an appropriate “Milestone” for the goal
- Identify the node in the journey which, when user reaches it, represents the milestone selected in the goal node and connect it to the goal node
- To populate the insights dashboard accurately, one needs to identify the three goals “Leads”, “Deep Conversations” and “Qualified Leads” in the journey nodes and connect them to the goal nodes
Go Live with the Ad
Once the above-mentioned steps are completed, the “Publish” button in the “Complete Setup” page gets enabled.
Click on the "Publish" button, the Bot ID gets generated, and the "Retarget" button promptly becomes available.
All the changes are saved and you are now ready to make the Facebook Ad(or campaign) Live !!!!!!!!
Retargeting Partial Leads
Retargeting is essential in reaching out to partial leads who have shown interest, increasing the chance of converting them into qualified leads. The retargeting will only be set up for the leads whose milestone is either Leads or Deep Conversations. Follow the below-mentioned steps to check the lead status:
- Navigate to Ad Management > View Campaign > View Ads > View Leads. The Leads Summary is displayed.
Follow the below-mentioned steps to send the retargeting messages:
- On the Ad Management window, select the Retarget button, a Re-target using QBM window displays
- For each consecutive section (re-targeting messages), choose the Template and Send After time. This 72 hours-free window sends QBM messages to the customer to maximize returns from ad spend.
Note: Setting the first re-targeting message is mandatory and the rest are optional i.e. it can be set as per the business need. Also, if the user selects 72 hours in the first re-target message settings, then the other re-target options will greyed out. - Checkboxes will be pre-selected and user can uncheck or keep them as it is based on their requirement. Click the Publish button, the status gets changed from "Retarget" to "Publish" followed by "Configured" after 1 minute. The re-targeting message gets configured and the Campaign Journey gets created.
